Cialis 20mg tadalafil citrate, 4tabs
Introduction
CIALIS is used to treat adult men with erectile dysfunction. This is when a man is unable to achieve or maintain a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual intercourse. CIALIS has been shown to improve the ability to achieve a hard erection suitable for sexual activity.
It is important to know that CIALIS does not work without sexual stimulation. You and your partner should stimulate each other as if you were not taking medication for erectile dysfunction.
CIALIS is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of erectile dysfunction. Cialis can be taken alone or in combination with other medicines.
Cialis belongs to a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme inhibitors.
It is not known if Cialis is safe and effective in children.
Cialis (tadalafil) is a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). The empirical formula of tadalafil is C22H19N3O4 with a molecular weight of 389.41:
CIALIS is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia
CIALIS® is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of erectile dysfunction and BPH (erectile/pituitary dysfunction).
Restrictions on use
When CIALIS is used in combination with finasteride to initiate BPH treatment, this drug is recommended for use up to 26 weeks because the added benefit of CIALIS decreases between 4 and 26 weeks and the added benefit of CIALIS after 26 weeks is not known.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
CIALIS should be taken as needed:
ED: Initial dose: 10 mg as needed before intercourse. Increase to 20 mg or decrease to 5 mg as appropriate for efficacy and/or tolerability. Improves erectile function compared to placebo up to 36 hours after use. Do not use more than once daily
CIALIS is indicated for once-daily use:
· ED: 2.5 mg once daily, regardless of duration of sexual activity. The dose may be increased to 5 mg depending on efficacy and tolerability.
· For sexually transmitted diseases: 5 mg daily, concurrently.
· ED and BPH: 5 mg daily, concurrently.
· CIALIS can be taken without food.
How long does Cialis work?
Cialis can remain active in the body for up to 36 hours.
For the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), your doctor may advise you to take Cialis only when needed before sexual intercourse (see the "Cialis Dosage" section above for more information). In this case, Cialis may help you achieve and maintain an erection for up to 36 hours.
However, if you take Cialis daily to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or erectile dysfunction, the drug will always stay in your body. Therefore, it will work throughout the day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
· Cialis is contraindicated in patients taking any form of organic nitrates. CIALIS has been shown to increase the blood pressure lowering effect of nitrates.
· A known severe hypersensitivity reaction to CIALIS or ADCIRCA®.
· Concurrent use with guanylate cyclase (GC) stimulators such as riociguat.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
· Patients should not use CIALIS if intercourse is contraindicated due to cardiovascular disease.
· Hypotension may occur when SIALIS is used in combination with alpha blockers, antihypertensives, or large amounts of alcohol (≥5 units).
· The combination of CIALIS and alpha blockers is not recommended for the treatment of ARDS because the efficacy of the combination has not been adequately studied and there is a risk of hypotension. Caution should be exercised when CIALIS is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men taking alpha blockers.
· If erection persists for more than 4 hours, the patient should seek emergency medical attention. CIALIS should be used with caution in patients prone to priapism.
